Day-4 of Temasek Polytechnic Singapore in Thailand!
We are almost coming to an end of Temasek Polytechnic Singapore field trip in Thailand, facilitated by Thai-Nichi International College (TNIC).
Since TNIC shares the same missions with its core institution Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology (TNI), the activities today did not cover only Thai culture but also Japanese ones.
In the morning, the students were amazed at the delicate Japanese culture of Origami paper folding and accomplished the workshop with contentment. One of the most recognized shapes that represents the art of Origami worldwide is the crane. In Japanese culture, the Origami crane symbolizes hope, healing, and good fortune.
Followingly, the group took a trip and a lunchbox to Patom Organic Village @ Suan Sampran, Nakhon Pathom Province, to explore Thai traditional craft workshops and organic farming. The visitors got a chance to make themselves an herbal inhaler as a souvenir and got their hands dirty with the processes of rice farming.
Before returning to Bangkok, the students collected these green memories back to the city.
