TNIC Team Claims Favorite Award at TDG Robot Innovation Hackathon, Building on Entreprenu-rathon Success

Students from Thai-Nichi International College (TNIC) and King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) delivered outstanding performances at the “TDG Robot Innovation Hackathon” held at True Digital Park on March 3, 2025. Most notably, Team Nexora from TNIC captured the coveted True Digital Group Favorite Award with their impressive innovation.
The event was officially opened by Khun Aaron Sipper, Head of Connected Industry Solutions at True Digital Group, who emphasized the importance of innovative robotics solutions in addressing contemporary healthcare challenges.
The competition focused on developing healthcare robotics innovations, a technology sector currently generating significant interest in startup ecosystems and the medical technology industry. Experts from True Digital Group provided the challenge parameters and guided the competing teams throughout the event.
The atmosphere was charged with excitement and intellectual challenge as four teams presented cutting-edge healthcare robotics solutions. The competitors included Teams Mech Med, The Clique, and Nexora from TNIC, alongside Team AmbuBot from KMUTNB. Each team showcased creative concepts with genuine real-world applications and future market potential.
Team Nexora from TNIC garnered special attention from the judging panel with their market-responsive innovation that demonstrated strong commercial viability, ultimately earning them the True Digital Group Favorite Award – a testament to their concept quality and exceptional presentation skills.
Khun Suriya Konkham, Head of Robocore at True Digital Group, praised Team Nexora’s work, describing it as “creative concepts with genuine real-world applications and future market potential.” He further noted that the innovations presented reflected the tremendous potential of the younger generation to develop technologies addressing social needs, particularly in healthcare – one of Thailand’s critical contemporary challenges.
The success of all four teams at the TDG Robot Innovation Hackathon builds upon their excellent performance at the “Entreprenu-rathon: Startup Success Blueprint. Empower Your Entrepreneurial Journey” competition, now in its second year. This event was jointly organized by Thai-Nichi International College (TNIC) and King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) from March 1-2, 2025.
The Entreprenu-rathon served as a vital platform for developing students’ business and technological capabilities through a two-day format. The first day functioned as a Grooming Day where participants received guidance from industry experts, followed by a Pitching Competition on the second day. Team Mech Med from TNIC secured first place with an 8,000 baht prize, while Team The Clique from TNIC won second place and 5,000 baht. Team AmbuBot from KMUTNB took third place with a 3,000 baht award, and Team Nexora from TNIC received an honorable mention with a 1,500 baht prize.
The Entreprenu-rathon initiative emerged from collaboration between the two educational institutions, with Asst. Prof. Dr. Silanee Nuchitprasitchai from KMUTNB’s Faculty of Information Technology and Digital Innovation founding the project last year. Asst. Prof. Dr. Tiwa Park, Dean of Thai-Nichi International College, further enhanced this year’s program to provide more intensive and challenging experiences.
